This site contained a dilapidated dormer bungalow which required significant extension and adaptation to suit our clients accommodation needs. The decision was made to demolish the existing home and to clear the site for a new build property. A new build purpose designed property was agreed incorporating all of the accommodation requirements for our client.

This large scale detached purpose built property was constructed on an existing site formerly occupied by a dilapidated house. The existing property was demolish and site cleared for the construction of a new build property to suit our clients specific accommodation requirements.

This project was the second phase of the adaptations to an existing dormer bungalow. Already refurbished and adapted under phase 1, the brief was to erect a purpose built structure to house a hydrotherapy pool along with shower and changing facilities.

The pool allows the client to experience the benefit of water which satisfies and calms his sensory needs.

Simple clean lines and bi-fold doors to maximise natural light combined with quality construction resulted in a scheme that will benefit the client for many years to come.

A large side extension and double garage with accommodation over was constructed on the side of an existing four bedroom property. The extension provided, on the ground floor a bedroom leading to a specialist bathroom and therapy room. Additional accommodation was provided over the double garage. Access to the first floor was made possible by way of a carriage lift. The ground floor of the existing property was remodelled to and extended with a single storey extension to construct a large kitchen.

Externally new pavings were laid and the driveway was block paved. The specialist bathroom, bedroom and therapy room were linked with a continuous X-Y hoist and the bathroom was fitted with a specialist bath and WC.
​The property was re-wired and re-plumbed and under floor heating was added to the new extensions.

The phase two adaptations to this detached property situated in the Peak District provided a purpose designed hydrotherapy pool facility for our client. The extension and adaptation scheme provided a pool room, shower room and plant room together with a glazed connecting link building. Due to the sloping site the pool room was positioned at lower level to the existing ground floor level. Wheelchair access was achieved by incorporating a step lift to the lower level. Concealed LED strip lighting was incorporated to the ceiling providing coloured visual effects.
